Because Oakshore operates a secure, private network for verified founders and institutional investors, we prioritize your privacy. We do not use third-party advertising or targeting cookies to track you across the internet for marketing purposes.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide secure authentication, and supply analytical information to the platform owners. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB (used by Firebase Authentication to persist session tokens).

We limit our use of cookies and similar technologies to those that serve the following purposes:

2.1. Strictly Necessary & Security Cookies

These are essential for the Platform to function securely. They enable core features such as authentication, session management, and security protections. The Platform cannot operate without these technologies.

2.2. Functional Cookies

These allow the Platform to remember choices you make (such as regional settings, language preferences, or Deal Room filter configurations) to provide a more personalized experience.

2.3. Analytics (Cookieless Mode)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in Consent Mode v2 with analytics storage denied by default. This means GA4 collects aggregate, anonymized usage data through cookieless pings — it does not write any tracking cookies (such as _ga or _gid) to your device. This data helps us improve the performance, layout, and functionality of our services.

The following third-party services set their own cookies or use client-side storage when you use the Platform:

• Google Analytics: Collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, session duration, interaction events). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google reCAPTCHA v3: Collects hardware and software information (device type, OS, browser) to assess whether interactions are from humans or automated bots. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Stripe: Utilized for secure payment processing and subscription management (post-Beta). Stripe employs cookies for fraud prevention and secure checkout. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored on your device.

Google Analytics: Oakshore uses GA4 in Consent Mode v2, which means no analytics cookies are placed on your device. GA4 collects anonymized, aggregate data through cookieless pings. You may still opt out of Google Analytics data collection entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Please note that because Oakshore relies on strictly necessary cookies and client-side storage for secure authentication, if you choose to disable all cookies and clear all site data, you will not be able to log in to the Platform or access secure Deal Rooms.
